Polaris supports the British SXS Championship for 2023
Polaris UK is proud to announce that it will once again be supporting the British SXS Championship for the 2023 season, marking its 12th consecutive year of supporting the series.
The Polaris British SXS Championship has played a significant role in growing the side-by-side racing scene in the UK since its inception in 2011, becoming the leading championship for all makes and models of SXS across the country. This includes the latest vehicles within the Polaris RZR line-up, with developments that push the championship even further with more aggressive torque, impressive suspension and quick-off-the-line acceleration.
“2023 is going to bring a lot of new things to the table for side-by-side racing here in the UK. We have just announced two new classes to the championship: There’s the new veteran’s class - a class that will not only be fiercely competitive with our over 40’s group, but also make new opportunities in adult classes for those up-and-coming juniors that continue to blow us away with their abilities on the track. Then there’s the new Youth program that aims to bring more budding talent into the arena, joining the track in the Polaris RZR 200 EFI. Both are serious developments not only for our championship but also for SXS racing as a sport. This year is sure to be a belter!”

The British SXS Championship is expecting its highest-ever attendance and competitor numbers across all categories, including expert, rookie and new veteran and youth classes. Back in the early days, the series hosted just one day of racing at every round. Now, the championship involves eight rounds of full weekend-long events across some of the best off-road tracks in the UK.
Despite being an open championship to all makes and models, The Polaris RZR continued to dominate the leaderboards last year with the new RZR Pro R and RZR Turbo R machines reaching the tracks for the first time.
“It’s a no-brainer that we support the British SXS Championship again for 2023. Not only does it present some great racing opportunities for both experienced and new RZR customers, but it also shows exactly what our machines are capable of on the track. This year is sure to bring some intense racing amongst the new and existing classes - it’s a time for the RZR 200 EFI to step into the limelight and bring fresh, new talent to the world of SXS racing.”
SXS Racing offers several classes for adult and youth riders of all ages and abilities.
For the British SXS Championship, Adults can choose to race in the open class, for turbocharged or modified machines; or the 1000 class, for non-turbocharged machines up to 1000cc. Each class runs separate championships for experts and rookies, depending on experience and skill. There’s also the new veteran’s class for riders aged over 40 who have never competed at expert level previously.
The Polaris British Youth Championship, aimed at young riders who want to explore the world of racing and are too young to compete amongst the adults, offers two classes: One for the Polaris Ace 570 machines, and one for the new Polaris RZR 200 EFI machines.
