Polaris Ranger Diesel making its mark in the west of Ireland
Since its inception in 2019, the Polaris Ranger Diesel has been making an impact in the agricultural industry thanks to its extreme durability and enhanced power.
Mary Maloney, a sheep farmer based in the west of Ireland, has been putting the vehicle through its paces on the hilly, muddy and swampy terrains across her farm, using it for absolutely everything from feeding and rounding up her flock of sheep to spreading fertiliser and mowing with a Flailmower.
“I am absolutely delighted with the Polaris Ranger Diesel, it’s higher than the John Deere I had before and therefore has greater ground clearance crossing rivers and streams. It is very economical and feels much sturdier too.”
Mary has fitted two accessories to her Polaris Ranger Diesel, the first being a winch, which has been perfect for pulling heavy feed bags from the boot of her Jeep into the feed shed, as well as a cover on the rear cargo bed to keep her belongings and equipment dry in all conditions. Mary has even used the covered cargo bed to transport a lost lamb that had been separated from the flock!
“As an older lady usually farming by myself, the Polaris Ranger Diesel is invaluable and the possibilities of it are endless!”
The Ranger Diesel is made to perform to the highest standards for years to come. The all-new three-cylinder Kubota diesel engine is the most powerful engine in its class, paired with better torque distribution for a smoother ride, and offering a lower cost of ownership thanks to over 200 hours between service intervals, plus a longer filter life and less oil consumption. With the highest top speed in its class, the Ranger Diesel is built for the heavy-duty long haul.
The Ranger Diesel is available across the UK, alongside the rest of the Polaris Ranger lineup; the Ranger EV, the mid-size Ranger 570 and the full-size Ranger 1000 and Ranger XP 1000 EPS (also available in a CREW model).
