Polaris partners with Öhlins to create the new Sportsman 570 Special Edition
Following the global launch of the all-new 2021 Sportsman 570, Polaris has introduced a variety of special edition trims to meet every rider’s needs and style, including the new Sportsman 570 EPS SP Öhlins Edition.
Designed in close collaboration with Öhlins – renowned manufacturers of advanced suspension technology for the automotive and motorsport industry – the Öhlins Edition is a new addition to the Sportsman 570 platform, developed exclusively for markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Driven by performance, the Sportsman 570 EPS SP Öhlins Edition includes premium Öhlins suspension, delivering an unprecedented off-road experience thanks to enhanced riding capabilities with upgraded traction and control, as well as better overall vehicle stability and manoeuvrability. The special edition features Öhlins shock absorbers on the front and rear, alongside front and rear Dual A-Arm suspension, with a shape specially designed to maximise ground clearance, delivering 20.8cm suspension travel on the front, and 24.1cm on the rear, as well as 34cm of ground clearance.
For a premium look, the Öhlins special edition is available with exclusive Turbo Silver painted plastics, as well as matte black 14-inch aluminium wheels, as well as featuring the signature Öhlins yellow spring colour and special Öhlins decals on the body. The Sportsman is finished with black Polaris handguards and a black front brush guard for even more resilience and protection on any ride, as well as providing an extreme, rugged look.
The Sportsman 570 Öhlins Edition comes standard with electric power steering (EPS) and an engine braking system (EBS), which has received some major improvements this year, now delivering a smoother and more controlled riding experience with a new clutch for smooth engagement at low speeds.
Arriving in dealers this winter, the fully upgraded 2021 Sportsman 570 platform has a new, bold design from front-to-back – including the new handlebar-mounted pod with an integrated LED work light and built-in battery charging port. There are LED headlights with integrated turn signals, and all-new body shape with sharper, more aggressive lines. The new and powerful 18AH battery has been relocated to underneath the front rack for easy access, and there are many new components with enhanced durability and resilience, including the new and sealed suspension bushings, new and improved brake lines and A-Arms, as well as a fully sealed ignition switch.
