POLARIS PROFILE: Neil Everett, Polaris UK District Sales Manager
Meet Neil Everett: Our District Sales Manager looking after the south of the UK and responsible for around 30 of the dealers in our UK network.
A familiar face in the business, Neil Everett has been with Polaris for nearly 13 years, so it made sense that he featured as our first POLARIS PROFILE on Basecamp; an interview-based series to provide more insight into those who make Polaris UK what it is today.
Neil – tell us how your career at Polaris started…
“I officially started with Polaris back in 2011, and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. My first official role with Polaris was a Sales and Marketing support role, which saw me working across all sectors of the business from off-road vehicles, on-road and military. Before this, I was a sub-contractor drafted in to help out during the peak times and busy events such as dealer days and show support during the summer.”
Why did you initially want to work with Polaris?
“For me, it was about the opportunity of a new challenge and I saw huge potential for growth within the UK market with the product range they offered and the way they set about achieving results.”
What did you do before this?
“I actually used to be a carpenter back in the day!”
Did you have any experience with the brand before joining?
“Not specifically within the ATV / UTV sector but I did come from a commercial vehicle background, so dealing with business-to-business customers and understanding how important their vehicle was to them certainly helped.”
What does your day-to-day job look like?
“Conducting dealership visits within the territory and a lot of travelling. Liaising with dealerships on a day-to-day basis and helping resolve pain points within the network.”
What’s your favourite part of the job?
“The travelling. It’s a great way to meet new people and see new places, all whilst doing something productive and achieving results. The best bit is I actually get paid for doing it. Second to that it’s the sense of achievement. Having been with the company for a while now, it’s fantastic to see how far we’ve come and shows what can be achieved with a great team and consistency.”
Do you have a personal favourite Polaris model?
“Ranger Diesel. It’s the product that pays the bills (haha) and so well thought of within the industry. It’s also the key to most businesses being able to continue to work through the wetter periods of the year; a proper workhorse.”
