    Polaris’ Riding Code of Conduct

    Checklist for riding in the UK

    Riders should ensure they abide by the following code of conduct when riding in the UK, either off-road or on green lanes.

    • Wear a helmet, eye protection and seat belt (if equipped) at all times when using my Polaris vehicle
    • Wear protective equipment including gloves, long sleeves, long trousers and appropriate footwear
    • My vehicle is in good working order that meets regulatory requirements
    • Comply with age and size requirements for operators and passengers
    • Use an exhaust system that meets the applicable noise standards
    • Hold a valid driver’s license and have valid insurance with the vehicle I use
    • Obey the traffic rules and adapt speed on the paths, and on the tracks that I use
    • Respect the rules of courtesy towards residents and other users (walkers, hikers, cyclists, horse riders, motorcyclists) that I meet while on my ride or parked
    • Stop my engine when approaching any other riders, people, animals and/or when I strike up a conversation with another user
    • Adapt my driving according to the type of ground, surface and climatic conditions
    • Do not use private areas, sites or routes that I do not have permission to use 
    • Respect natural spaces, fauna and flora
